Welcome! We are a thriving evangelical church to the north of Chelmsford in Essex, very close to the new developments of Beaulieu and Channels.
The usual church programme on our premises is currently suspended due to the CoronaVirus. Please check back with us regularly for updates.
Instead we are still “worshipping together” in our own homes on Sundays using Zoom video chat. Everybody can watch recordings of those gatherings in our public North Springfield Baptist Church Facebook Group and on our Facebook Page and our YouTube Channel for “North Springfield Baptist Church Chelmsford UK.” If you want to join in live, contact us for the Zoom Link and password. Services and other activities on the church premises are not likely to begin before APRIL.
Our LATEST NEWS page has booklets of sermons to encourage and enrich your faith.
IF WE CAN HELP YOU in any way, please get in touch by EMAIL or MESSENGER.

Not the building but the people
You may think of North Springfield Baptist Church as that strange barn-shaped building just off Havengore which you can see from Pump Lane. But the church is not the building. The church is the people, a community of believing people who have experienced the difference Jesus Christ makes to our lives. So we meet together to worship and pray and learn and encourage one another and to serve our neighbours.
We are of all ages, from toddlers up to friends in their nineties! We are teachers and nurses and carers and pharmacists and shop people and technical people and builders and retired people. We have children at primary and secondary school. We come from England and Wales and Zimbabwe and Romania and Trinidad and India and Nigeria and South Africa and Zambia and other places too. You will receive a warm welcome at any of our services and activities.
